WHY COUNSELLING?
During the rollercoaster of life we can often find ourselves at a crossroads, uncertain of which way to turn or what decision to make. We feel stuck or panicked and unable to talk about what is happening with those close to us. The frustration compounds the issue(s) making it hard to think clearly, the situation we find ourselves in can become even more stressful and difficult to navigate because we forget the basics.
Counselling is a form of therapy that focuses on providing you with emotional support, guidance and advice to help you address personal psychological problems, make important decisions and improve your overall well-being.
Counselling can address a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, grief, stress and career concerns. The ultimate goal of counselling is to help you achieve greater self-awareness and develop the skills, confidence and positive mindset you need to manage your lives more effectively.
BUSY WORLD
There’s a million pieces of advice out there; what we should be eating, how we should be exercising, how many hours we should be sleeping – it all has good intentions, but the reality is, every single one of us is different and a one size suits all approach does not work.
Sometimes all that is required is a non-biased, understanding ear and some advice you can rely on. When your brain is stuck or operating too fast to make sound decisions, a qualified counsellor can help you get out of the corner and back into living in an optimistic and engaged way.

CORPORATE
Culture, team efficacy, dynamic, output, happiness - so much time and energy is put into corporate wellness, but how much
of it is lip service and how much of it is heartfelt?

Optimistic Consulting provides counselling sessions to employees as an unbiased opportunity for the team to check in and be heard. While these sessions are confidential, we can provide an insightful report and recommendations on where some pressure points might exist and how these could be addressed. Two decades of working with corporate businesses has provided insight and understanding on how all the pieces make the whole and we all know the feeling when a piece of the puzzle is missing.
This is not coaching, this is not team building, this is not a survey - this is counselling, but used for the benefit
of the employee and employer.
